From The Outside Looking in
I would like to say as someone who has admired the guitar from afar that i have been completely pathetic. I’m a singer musician, songwriter producer and Its been 3 years since vie bought a guitar and still haven’t learn to play it! I must admit im totally ashamed, ive seen many a child come and go learning to play guitar ahead of me but my lifestyle is just not in the same shape as theirs to dedicate the time that they’ve put aside to learning it, I feel awful because can sing,write and produce music i would actually like to have learned the guitar to accompany me when I’m singing or writing,or recording as it is i am completely without help when ever i have to perform a song.
I have to depend on the help of a backing track, how lame is that? In this day a live band can command so much more than an artist with a backing track that it provide a completely different environment or atmosphere, so i have completely lost out on a lot of work i could have had playing on music sessions and earning a bit of royalties for playing on a recording session, Plus guitarists tend to seem to have all the fun. The many guitarists that I just wish I could be like are just incredible, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Rolling stones, Oasis, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Santana, I just wish I could play one song!
What Can I Do On A Guitar
There are many things that one can achieve on a guitar. I actually don’t have to perform much more songs on a set with a guitar because i can stretch each song out more and play riffs in between the parts I’m not singing infix can jam with just the one song for 10 minutes if I do It right. I could be so creative. There’s just so much more fun to be had! I got so upset at my lack of progress that I just put the damn thing away and tried to forget about it while I di other things, yet every other month or so id see the damn guitar case staring at me and ill take it out play a few caterpillars and see if I get any more fluent at it.
Though I feel like I’ve progressed a bit, I can’t quite help but think, there must be a quicker easier and better way to Learn How To Play Guitar? I put it away in hope that ill get better next time I pick it up. So it’s become a bit of a lost cause for me, as I never have seemed to get any further with my progress. A few of my friends have now said they’re going to pick up the good guitar, well my personal wish was good luck to them, because if I cant seem to master it how could they right.
They are just like me? What makes them so different? They’ll never get it I think, Why one of my mates has like two guitar in their room and still has to hire someone to come over to play proper riffs for him to record on his records that he’s producing. See? Nobody can master a guitar these days. Im starting to think im nothing special because none of my friends can master guitar.
Then to top it off, a cousin of mine gave me his electric guitar and actually had two, so he was pretty serious when he started off and gave up, So there now you have it, its impossible to learn how to master a guitar, that’s my point. Now I have two guitars an acoustic and an electric and I still cant play either of them. Does this sound like your story as well?

Guitar Tutoring and Why It Helps
So anyway i have tried with a guitar tutor and that was ok but my timing wasn’t good as I paid a bit up front and never had the time to go and then when I developed the time, I ran out of money to go to the lessons. I tried looking up YouTube and looking for some free Learn How To Play Guitar Lessons and initially I thought, this was brilliant but even though i got me some great info to get by and get started i didn’t get all the right info in the right place to keep me interested as well a lot of the videos are a bit advanced for me and kind of left me n the dark about the whole thing.
I know the instructors mean well and I thank each and every one of them for putting out a video that I think may have helped. However im still not where I wish I could be with the guitar and starting to think I for one am pretty hopeless when I comes to learning music. Yet im great when it comes to feeling music. That means I can play what I feel on a piano and It comes out sounding great yet im not a musician and I cannot play by theory or have any inkling as to what im playing as I do not write or read music but i do want to Learn How To Play Guitar Through Online Lessons.

I’ve also tried getting a few guitar CD and though they give me the basic framework i couldn’t go any further and put the damn thing down now. For the moment i literally gave up and only pick up the thing every now and then to do some caterpillars. How pathetic is that?
